A carpet business has expanded to open a second branch in a neighbouring town.

Crowland Carpets has had a warehouse in The Deeping Centre, Market Deeping for seven years and has now opened in Bourne.

The firm is owned by father-and-son duo Ben and Dekota Cowing and is located in Victor Way.

Ben said: “I have high expectations for this store, I think it has good vibes.”

The firm sells carpets, rugs, artificial grass and visitors have the option to purchase natural products including fur and jute.

The idea of expanding came during the pandemic.

At that point, carpet was only ordered from suppliers after a customer had placed an order and then delivered within two days of it arriving at the warehouse.

Customers kept calling to say they had covid but there was nowhere for staff to store their orders.

When looking at the price of units, Ben and Dekota realised that it would be more cost-efficient to buy one big enough for a store rather than just a warehouse.

“We are hoping that the people of Bourne accept our new store and come and visit us,” Ben said.
