German sports flooring manufacturer Regupol has introduced a new track laying technology, which is said to save installation time and materials.
Regupol's new "4.0 technology" eliminates the complete work steps of installing its hybrid sandwich runway system, which consists of a prefabricated Regupol base pad, on which a high-quality polyurethane wear layer and broadcast EPDM rubber particles are applied Place.
The special feature of this structure is that since the base mat is manufactured in the factory, the best adjustment of the sports physical characteristics of the track can be guaranteed at each position of the track.
So far, the track structure includes sealing the bottom pad to prevent penetration of the self-leveling PUR wear layer during installation.
However, due to Regupol's 4.0 technology, this step is no longer necessary, because the liquid PUR wear-resistant layer is poured directly onto the base after the Regupol base is bonded to the base.
Therefore, each polyurethane particle remains on the surface and will not penetrate into the bottom pad, while improving the adhesion of the wear-resistant layer to the Regupol bottom pad.
Peter Breuer, Sales Director of Sport Floors International at Regupol, summarized the advantages of the system and suggested that "For our customers all over the world, this installation technique represents three basic savings: materials, installation time, and cost.
