SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS: Spring Lake Heights Recreation is offering an Adult Men’s Softball League that starts July 18 and will play on Monday nights at Allaire Road Park.
The season will last six games, ending with playoffs the week of Aug. 29. The league is wood bat only, and batters start with a 1-1 count and one courtesy foul after two strikes.
Games are limited to four hours and each team gets one hour per inning. The pitching arc is 6′-12′, using the plate and mat as a strike zone. League shirt provided and sponsored by Spring Lake Tap House; softballs and bats supplied. The league costs $110; to register, go to SLH Recreation link tree.
The Spring Lake Heights Recreation Department announced field trips for Summer Recreation Camp for the first time since 2019.
On July 5th and August 1st, for $15 the campers will be able to go to Jersey Shore Arena to ice skate from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. On July 11th and August 8th, campers will be able to go Shipwreck Island Mini Golf in Bradley Beach for $6 and unlimited mini golf for two hours starting at 10 a.m. Finally, on July 19th, campers will be able to go to the Allaire Community Farm to participate in fun activities for $16.
Campers are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible for the farm trip because Allaire Community Farm needs numbers for staffing purposes.
