This is a classic example of what grubs can do to a lawn.

Lots of things can go wrong in the summer lawn, not the least of which is the punishing hot, dry spells that turn our outdoor green carpets brown for weeks at a time in July and August.

But a more insidious problem is the faction of little bugs that chomp away at the blades, crowns, and roots – unseen until noticeable (and sometimes-fatal) damage is done.
