Uflex's booth at Indiaplast 2019 attracted the attention of exhibitors, customers and visitors by showing the combination of innovative releases and mature products of its various businesses.

The five-day exhibition at the Indiaexpo Center in Greater Noida opened on February 28. CEOs Amitabh Kant, Niti Aayog, Ashok Chaturvedi, CMD, Uflex and other VIPs attended today's event and ended today.

Among the series of revolutionary products exhibited by Uflex, the focus of Indiaexpo's attention was the live demonstration of the Uflex recycling machine in the PMMAI Green Pavilion. The pavilion showed how to recycle multi-layer packaging (MLP) waste into pellets in a fairly simple way.

At the same time, the follow-up process of making pellets into useful industrial and household products is shown. The booth displayed basic products made from recycled particles, such as benches, floor and wall tiles, ladders, etc., highlighting how multiple layers of plastic waste can not only be recycled, but can also be reused.

Uflex will share its technology for MLP waste recycling with processors, food companies and recyclers. The technology will include the provision of recycling machines and technology.

In the first year of Indiaplast 2019, Uflex demonstrated its strength in the entire flexible packaging value chain by showing its first-class products and solutions in all seven businesses.

Uflex's engineering business unit displayed its top-of-the-line extrusion coating and laminating machine "EX LAM 400". EX LAM 400 uses a strong, heavy structure to handle thin and thick laminates, and the line speed is designed to be 400 meters per minute (mpm).

Through major improvements to its old model, the improved machine with European design features is particularly suitable for Indian conditions, making it a clear solution to meet all flexible packaging needs. EX LAM 400 is distributed in various variants, namely single extruder and co-extruder.

In second place is its most advanced CI Flexo model "Elisa", which is designed with a maximum operating speed of 400 mpm and a high level of automation in the form of a sleeve and anilox roller removal system. Uflex is the first Indian company ever to manufacture CI Flexo, and its latest version offers many added values, including an efficient ink cleaning system that helps save time and costs.

The solvent-free laminator "Super-S-1300" on display adds the ability to run metalized structures at speeds up to 300 mpm, while all other structures can run at speeds up to 450 mpm. The machine provides a microprocessor-based temperature adjustment system to maintain the optimal temperature of the steel roll. Its decoiler, rewinder, coating, laminating and metering are all controlled by digital drives and motors.

Uflex's film business pockets are filled with many innovative products, starting with three polyester films.

F-PRP is a 12µ BOPET film designed to meet the critical needs of bulk packaging. It is very suitable for low-density, high-volume packaging, such as big atta, sugar or rice packaging.

Similarly, in the ready-to-eat food packaging, F-TFP has developed a thermoformed film with 15μ, 23μ and 36μ, which is used for semi-rigid packaging of takeaway food such as trays, so as to maintain the brand identity of the product until the last product is It is consumed and will not be lost as the lid is thrown away. This product can be used to replace OPA film, where OTR barrier properties are not important, and improved F-TFP improved OTR barrier properties can be used.

While F-FTC, the fast tear film, overcomes the challenge, and F-FTC, the fast tear film, overcomes the challenge of easy tearing in multi-layer packaging, which makes the film easy to tear in two directions, allowing consumers to easily access the product . This film is suitable for sachets and disposable food packaging, such as ketchup, sweets and snacks, and will soon be launched in the Indian market.

Most importantly, the introduction of PETG resin, which is an amorphous polymer that does not crystallize, makes it an excellent substitute for transparent polymers, providing high-performance properties, including transparency, transparency, gloss, glaze Printability in surface and application.

Echoing the manufacturing in India, Uflex is the first and only PETG producer in India, and it will provide a huge opportunity to replace the PETG resin imported into the country so far. PETG will replace transparent polymers in applications such as personal care, signage, sheet extrusion, LED profiles, medical equipment, household appliances, consumer products, and 3D printing technology.

In the BOPP field, two kinds of ultra-high barrier films are introduced: the ultra-high barrier metalized BOPP film "B-TUO-M" and the ultra-high barrier high sealing strength metalized BOPP film "B-TUH-M". B-TUO-M has excellent barrier properties, oxygen transmission rate (OTR) less than 10, excellent sealing performance, excellent metal bonding strength and metal crack resistance; and the most advanced extruded laminated substrate; and B- TUH-M has excellent barrier properties and high sealing strength less than 15 OTR as well as excellent air tightness; better metal bonding strength and nitrogen flushing ability.

Finally, the ultra-high barrier metallized CPP film "C-CLM" with strong sealing performance and high metal bonding strength solves the sustainable extrusion bonding, barrier and sealing faced by the flexible packaging industry by replacing three layers with two layers The performance challenge has achieved the advantage of less carbon footprint.

CYLINDER Business has launched new metal molds. The molds produced by the latest CNC mold production line are in the form of metal plates and rollers, with 3D images engraved on them. The mold plate can be produced on a flat panel system, or a rotating mold can be made. The image is superimposed on the printing substrate by mechanical pressure or temperature. Therefore, we get embossed images on printed labels and printed packaging.

Their product portfolio also includes gravure printing cylinders for flash printing, including very high GSM and very low GSM coating cylinders for easy embossing on paper, foil, leather, etc. The latest flexographic printing plate ensures high-resolution optical technology up to 4,000ppi for perfect details, and the screen is up to 300lpi and 1%-99% dots, making the output compatible with offset and gravure quality and consistency.

On the booth, it also displayed laser-engraved elastic plates with the highest quality printing, not only in line work but also in halftone images; the printing quality is consistent due to the excellent transfer of various flexographic inks. Water-based, UV, electron beam, ketone-based, ethyl acetate, etc.; printers with the best registration and jointless elastomer sleeves have shorter set-up time, so the efficiency is improved and it helps to install directly into the printer.

The chemical business provides different solutions for flexible packaging and offset printing applications. Chemicals introduced the universal solvent-free adhesive 777 A/C, a unique universal product that provides excellent performance on a variety of substrates including plastics. When mixed at a ratio of 1:1, this adhesive has excellent compatibility with NC-PU inks.

Next comes sheet-fed UV inks, suitable for commercial and non-food packaging applications, as well as newly developed environmentally friendly high-speed water-based inks. Another one-component solvent-free adhesive, OC512, is also on the shelves. This adhesive is designed for laminating films to printed and unprinted boards and papers.

ASEPTO, the aseptic liquid packaging business from Uflex, demonstrated the aesthetic innovation of aseptic liquid packaging through holographic conversion, which is the theme of their Indiaplast 2019.

HOLOGRAPHY Business showcased a variety of anti-counterfeiting products, highlighting its technologically superior brand protection solutions to protect consumers and suppliers from counterfeit and shoddy products.

Also on display are the registered lens technology labels printed with the new Orthotec machine and labels with screen effects; and custom-made holographic cartons combined with different holographic patterns to form a hybrid design to provide a unique packaging appearance.
